The works at located on the ground floor of 1 Bishopsgate Plaza consisted of taking the existing shell and core space to a fully functioning high end patisserie. The fit out included, new heating and cooling via a new VRF system, full public health and electrical installation coordinated to suit the commercial ovens and chilled display counters.

Italian Carrera marble flooring was laid throughout the whole space with the refrigerated display counters clad with contrasting Italian Marble.

The works at Market Square involved the creation of four board room quality meeting rooms, collaboration space and break out area. The space was fitted out from a shell and core condition.

All meeting rooms were constructed to achieve high acoustic performance, 50db cooling was provided and due to the limited ceiling heights FCU were secreted behind bespoke joinery panelling.

Lighting was installed throughout and controlled and connected to the in house Lytton lighting scheme.

The project consisted of demolition and alteration of an existing leisure facility including vertical and rear extension with significant structural work to support it. A full internal strip out, remodel and fit out was undertaken to transform the existing Park Club into the new David Lloyd facilities. This included full new mechanical and electrical installations, plus external pools, spa garden and refurbishment of the existing car park.

Early appointment of the architects and engineer HCD, who
were familiar with the David Lloyd standards and requirements, gave us a great advantage in completing the design at such an early stage. Particularly considering the time factor as the Club was scheduled to be opened 6 months after the project commenced. David LIoyd signed up 4000 new members for this Club during the works, therefore achieving the opening date was a non-negotiable key factor for the client.

The fit out works included new heating and cooling via 4 pipe FCU located around the perimeter of the bar, this was secreted behind leather banquette seating and low level boxings clad in clay plaster and blackened mild steel capping’s.

The ceiling was finished in an acoustic spray applied textured finish; recessed lighting illuminated the space throughout, all controlled by a Luton system. Light Grey Micro cement flooring was laid throughout the main bar, private tasting room, lift lobbies and communal areas.

The main bar was constructed of blackened mild steel with a hand chiselled granite top. Behind the bar Stainless steel bespoke counters with four “cocktail” stations were created which included condiment bays, ice sinks and speed rails. The ceiling of the bar was finished in polished stainless steel, services coordinated to fit centrally in each panel.
